Wonder if you can help?
I’m a trained copywriter currently in the process of developing my website. However, do you think a website is necessary? Should I have a Blog page AND a Website?
Also, I specialise in writing for the ‘lifestyle’ sector and wish to target businesses requiring copywriters in the same niche. Would it be advisable to publish content about, for example health and beauty products/advice as well as topics these businesses would find useful like your own examples in the article?
I’d like to publish articles on my niche to show my abilities but also wish to offer advice and attract my target audience.
What would you suggest?

Hi Phylicia,

I’m glad this was helpful! You can absolutely re-use old content – just be sure that it’s useful and interesting to your target audience. 🙂

Thanks for commenting!
Nicki

I’m in the process of setting up my website and didn’t even consider having my own blog on their until reading your article just now. I have a old blogger blog from 10 years ago as well as a WordPress blog that I operated a short time in 2018. I was wondering if I should rewrite/revamp or use these old posts in any kind of way in the launching of my new career. Searching this question on Google is how I came across your post. My take away is that my writing is valuable even if it’s old it took time and effort. None of it has to do with the topic of copywriting but does include topics in my experienced niche. So I will create a blog on my site and become my own content marketer as you stated. Why not be my own first client and pull out all the stops. Then I’ll bring my old posts to life to serve up on my new blog as well as start writing new content geared toward targeting the pain points of my target market.

Thank you so much for the info & inspiration!
