Hi Kristy,

Oh, thanks for letting me know! I’ll look into it.

And, yes, quizzes/surveys definitely could be a niche…but I actually don’t recommend that you choose a niche when you’re first getting started. (Here’s why: https://filthyrichwriter.com/copywriting-qa-the-niche-trap/ ). But bear in mind that you can still write quizzes and pitch quizzes to clients without declaring it as your niche. 🙂

I wanted to know if there is any such thing as a quiz/survey copywriter as a niche? I did a trial project writing the copy for a scorecard quiz for a marketing agency and really enjoyed it but I am just starting out on my copywriting journey and don’t know if this is a viable niche for me to explore or whether I need to be a jack of all trades?

Hi Mathylde,

It’s absolutely possible to get a good paying, entry-level job in copywriting or advertising…but your chances go down exponentially if you have no experience at all. If you’re still in school and have time on your hands, you could try to get an internship. If you’re not still in school and/or don’t want an internship, you need to get some training on your own. When you sign up for our waitlist (no pressure to go with our training!) you’ll also get some free bonuses to help you learn more about copywriting and how to do it well. Good luck!

I’m an English Education major but haven’t been able to pass my certification exams (FL) and have been considering dropping the education part in order to graduate. I’ve completed all my courses but my program won’t allow me to graduate until I pass those exams. I can just graduate as an English major but I haven’t done that because I worked hard for those education courses too. I’ve taken multiple writing courses as well as technical writing and am here to ask for guidance. Many of the advertising and copywriting jobs ask for years of experience. Is it possible to get a good paying, entry-level job in copywriting or advertising? Where should I look and what should I do? There’s so much left unsaid here…
